CASE believes that all individuals are entitled to high quality and properly resourced education appropriate to developing their full potential, thereby fostering life long enjoyment of learning and enabling them to live free and fulfilling lives in a diverse, multicultural society. This is best achieved through democratic and locally accountable partnerships working in a spirit of mutual respect and co-operation.
Key Strategic Aims

  • High quality early years education for all those whose parents want it.
  • A fully comprehensive and locally accountable education system which enables all our children to achieve their personal best in all areas of learning in a happy and a secure environment.
  • High quality and properly resourced education and training for all our citizens which is free at the point of delivery.
  • High quality and motivated teachers able to foster a love of learning through a variety of teaching styles and who are themselves entitled to well funded continuing professional development and with a voice at all levels of the education service.
  • Resources appropriate to providing a high quality learning environment, including appropriate class sizes, up-to-date books and equipment, well-designed, maintained and safe buildings.
    Educational establishments to be an integral part of their communities, responding to local needs and aspirations and benefiting from local skills and resources.
  • Management and governance systems based on principles of local democratic accountability and a spirit of partnership, mutual respect and co-operation between all those involved, including parents, teachers, governors and the elected representatives of the local community.
